A yoga routine is a personal space, and we respect that by designing our app with a strict privacy-first, offline-centric architecture. Below, we detail exactly how the app handles your data, how it is structured, and how your privacy is protected under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Data Controller

2. Local Yoga Data (Strictly On-Device)

All of your custom yoga routines and app settings are stored strictly locally on your physical device using local databases (sqflite) and your device’s internal preferences (shared_preferences).

We, the developers, do not collect, monitor, or synchronize this data to any external servers, backend databases, or cloud infrastructure.

Custom Yoga Routines

  • What it is: Text strings for names, arrays of selected poses, and numerical duration timers.

  • Usage: Stored exclusively on your device so you can build, save, and launch your customized yoga sequences. Because this data never leaves your device, we do not process your personal routines.

App Settings

  • What it is: Boolean (true/false) toggles and text configuration variables.

  • Usage: Used locally to remember your preferred UI settings and routine transitions.

3. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions (Data Processors)

To offer premium features, we manage in-app purchases through a third-party service provider. All actual financial transactions are handled securely and anonymously by the native platform ecosystems (Apple App Store or Google Play Store). We never have access to your credit card data, name, or billing address.

Subscription Data & Device Metadata (RevenueCat)

  • What it is: An anonymous App User ID, your purchase/subscription history, basic device information (OS version, device model), and your IP address (transmitted temporarily during the network request).

  • Usage: This data is transmitted to our service provider, RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc., USA), solely for managing in-app purchases and validating your subscription status. The legal basis for this processing is the performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), as it is strictly necessary to unlock the premium features you paid for.

4. Analytics, Tracking, and Advertising (None)

We guarantee that Simple Yoga is entirely free of external tracking:

  • No Analytics or Crash Tracking: We do not use any tracking SDKs (such as Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, Crashlytics, or Sentry). The app does not track your behavior.
  • No Advertising Networks: The app is completely ad-free. We do not integrate with ad networks (like AdMob) and do not access your device’s advertising identifiers.

5. Device Permissions

Simple Yoga is designed to be unobtrusive and respects your device’s security boundaries.

  • No Sensitive Permissions Requested: The app does not request or require access to your camera, microphone, precise location, or contacts.
  • No Health API Integration: The app operates independently and does not read from or write to external health aggregators like Apple HealthKit or Google Fit.

6. Your Rights as a Data Subject

Under the GDPR, you have absolute rights regarding your personal data. Because your yoga routines and settings are stored exclusively on your own device, you have immediate and total control over exercising these rights:

  • Right to Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR): You can instantly and permanently delete all your custom routines and preferences simply by uninstalling the app or clearing the app’s local data in your device’s system settings. We hold no remote backups to delete on our end.
  • Right of Access & Rectification (Art. 15 & 16 GDPR): You have full, direct access to view, edit, or delete any specific yoga routine through the app’s interface at any time.
